PlanIt EAST

Welcome to PlanIt EAST: a first-ever, regional approach to sustainable growth and conservation planning and implementation within the MGTF Region of North Carolina. Working together, delegates from the counties of Craven, Carteret, Duplin, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, Pender and Wayne will look to the future and explore consensus solutions to growth challenges for action by our local boards and member-elected councils and commissions. As you'll see, some of these candidate projects for regional discussion include an initiative to add value to agriculture through regional food and fuel supplies for our military and our state, as well as a water resource strategy.

Together, we will help sustain the region, the military, and the unique agricultural makeup eastern North Carolina is known for. It's time to start working more strategically to strengthen the region's influence with a focus on emerging concerns and future growth.
